Find Rest

As I shared yesterday, this has been a busy week.  It has been mentally and physically draining and tiring.  As I sat in the recliner trying to catch up on some rest a thought came to me.

That thought was, “ye shall find rest for your souls.”  Then I looked it up in the Word of God.  The only place it came up when searching my computer Bible is in Jeremiah 6:16.  Take a look at Jeremiah 6:16, “Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.”

Did you notice anything in this verse?  I noticed that we are exhorted to stand in the ways, see, ask for the old paths and walk in them.  This is an act that is tiring.  It is not easy to serve the LORD.  He never promised us a bed of ease.  What the LORD did promise us was that He would be right there with us.

So, if we are going to live a life that pleases God we must stand up, speak up, follow along and walk on.

Cry Aloud, Spare Not

This verse of Scripture just jumped out at me.  I just finished reading two articles online concerning the flood of illegals coming into our country.  The article estimated there have been 300,000 (three hundred thousand) illegals flock to our country as a safe haven.

I will be labeled as racist, a bigot and many other adjectives that I will not post here.  That is okay because I would rather hear Jesus say, “Well done thou good and faithful servant” than to hear the accolades of this sin cursed world we live in.  There is a grave problem here in our nation and we sit by and let it pass on.  Nobody raises their voice out of fear.  It is high time we lift up our voices and let our voices be heard not just nationwide; but, worldwide.  Wake up America!  It is almost too late.  There is still a glimmer of hope for our nation.

Here is the thing.  If people would come to put their faith in Jesus things would turn around.  The problem is that most people are putting their trust in a government that is flesh and blood like themselves.  Their flawed.  Some are flawed to the soul.  I mean they have no relationship with Jesus Christ.  Their decisions exclude Him totally.  They would love to wipe out every God-fearing person in this nation so they can go forward with their agenda of anti-christ.  Wake up America and don’t drink the kool-aid!

Look at Isaiah 58:1, “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.”  Dear friends, turn to Jesus now before it is eternally too late.
