Death

This is only the beginning of the news that I have received the past week.  Too many of us live like we will live forever.  This is true.  We will all live forever.  The decision you make today will effect that eternal destination.

Some of us have a lifestyle that says as Frank Sinatra sang, “I did it my way”.  This will not cut it in eternity.  You see there are two resurrections.  The resurrection of the just and the resurrection of the unjust.   Look at Acts 24:15, “And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.”

Those who are justified by the blood of Jesus will be resurrected to eternal life in Heaven with Jesus and all those saved through the ages.  The unjust, or those who have never trusted Jesus Christ as their Saviour will be resurrected to eternal punishment or damnation.  They will live for eternity in hell and be in torment.

The solution here is simple.  You need to trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour and then your eternal destiny will be sealed and you can rest in Christ.

So, how are you doing?

The Just And The Unjust

On Monday evening there was a story on the local news about a news station in another state that had been hit by hackers.  They had interrupted their programming with a message that there were people coming out of the graves and now walking around the city.  The newscaster was struggling to hold back her laughter.  I understand how they think that such a thing is funny; but, I don’t really agree.

The devil is doing what he can to prepare people for the resurrection.  That is what it amounts to here.  He is trying to get people so familiar with the concept of a resurrection that when it happens that it will not be too big of a deal.  For every true thing that God has the devil has a counterfeit.

The Word of God tells us in Acts 24:15, “And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.”  We will all be resurrected one day.  The just will be taken to Heaven.  The unjust will be resurrected to be cast into a real place called Hell for all eternity.  The question is, “What are you and I doing about it?”

So, how are you doing?
