He Knows My Name 5

When I first heard the song “He Knows My Name” I could not get it out of my mind.  The more I thought about it the more thoughts came to me.  I finally said to myself, “This will preach!”  There you have the how-to of this coming together.

When I think that “He Knows My Name” I am taken back to Psalm 139:17-18, “How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!  If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.”

He knows my name because He thinks about me.  This is an awesome thought!  The Creator of the universe who simply spoke and everything came into existence thinks about me.  I am just a speck of dust on this earth.

Not only does He think about me; but, the Bible says, “how great is the sum of them!”  Not only does He think about me; but, He thinks about me a lot.  Wow!  I wonder what He is thinking about me.  I pray that He is pleased with me and is having good thoughts of me.

The next time you feel all alone and like nobody cares about you remember that He thinks about you, a lot.  Glory!  He knows my name and He thinks about me, a lot.

So, how are you doing?

Thought

The mind is a powerful thing.  We can dream up things that never really happened.  We can invent things.  We can solve complex problems.  This is possible because of the powerful mind that God had given to each of us.

What do you think about?  I mean really.  If we do an inventory of our thoughts it might give us some insight into the condition of our heart.

There is something that caught me the other day.  Our Big Creator God thinks about me and you.  It blows me away to think that God takes time to think about me.  So when you are lonely and the devil whispers in your ear that nobody loves you or even thinks about you we can rest on the truth of God’s Word that He thinks about us.  Look at what He says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

This makes you and I special to say the least.  God thinks about us.

So, how are you doing?
