Implosion

As I am sitting here and thinking I am going over some events of the past couple weeks.  Our nation has traded a soldier who is a deserter for several terrorists.  This is not how we need to build our nation.

Yet, there are situations in life that are not as high security; but, still we are betrayed.  This nation will implode if we are not careful.  We need to stand up and make our voices heard.  We need to vote for what is right and not who gives us the best deal for our own bottom line.  Wake up America we are going to implode!

We see instances where American service men go “off the deep end” and shoot other service men and women.  This is an attack from the inside and erodes the interior fiber.  One day; if we do not return to God the interior will be so eroded that it will no longer stand.

I am reminded of Psalm 55:12-13, “For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:  But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.”  We have all had these experiences; but, if our nation continues she will not be able to continue to withstand the implosion that will take place.  Stand up Christians!

So, how are you doing?

The Glory Is Departed 6

The other day I took some friends to the airport.  As we were driving along in the area of the interstate there were some birds flying around.  They seemed to be in some kind of duress.  While the conversation flowed along I was watching the birds while driving.  I was a dispatcher for many years and I have the ability to multitask.

All of a sudden I shouted, “Wow!”  We watched as a hawk swooped in and grabbed another bird right out of the air.  Feathers flew for sure.  It was amazing to say the least.  My thoughts then went to the Scriptures.  Look at I Peter 5:8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”

You might be asking what this has to do with our current series.  When we walk with God and know His glory I do not believe that we are as prone to this kind of attack.  What I mean is that we are yielded to the Holy Spirit and He warns us and guides us.  He also uses the Word of God to protect and guide us.  When “The Glory Is Departed” and we are just out there wandering around we are vulnerable.

So, how are you doing?
