Who is on the Lord’s Side?

Exodus 32:26, “Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD’S side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.”

When I was growing up I was always the fat kid with glasses.  All I needed was read hair and freckles (sorry if I have offended anyone who has red hair and freckles) and I would have been totally ostracized.  When teams were picked I was normally the last one picked.  The team I would end up on would look downcast.  It was such a discouragement.  This continued into my adult life and it hurt just as bad.

At the age of eight years old I put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ and He saved me.  When He saved me I was taken from the kingdom of darkness and put into the kingdom of His dear Son (Colossians 1:13).  At this moment I became a child of the King and a soldier of the cross.  It is my privilege to be so named.  I cannot say that I have always lived up to this.  It makes me ashamed that I have not always lived in such a way as to exemplify this.

Our days are filled with choices to make.  God gives us a will of our own to make choices.  Joshua put it this way in Joshua 24;15, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”  If you are not on the Lord’s side, switch now.  Get on the Lord’s side and together let’s go, grow and glow for the glory of God.

So, how are you doing?

Pray:  “Dear Lord forgive me for not living as if I am on Your side.  Help me to please you with my life I pray in Jesus’ name.  Amen.”

  1. Veery good program today and this week. God is working in your life. I have comments all week about your sermon on Monday to the pastors. “outstanding” “I don’t remember being so moved at meeting for pastors.” “Why have been blind to this man in our midst.” “He is a rising star.”

    Thanks for being real,

    Larry
