Love You Through It 2

The other evening my wife and I were channel surfing and came across a show on Christian television and the singing family The Isaac’s were on.  They sang a song titled “I’m Gonna Love You Through It”.  Watch a video of the song here.  It is a powerful song to say the least.

After I listened to the song; and yes, wiped more than a few tears, I began to think about the message of the song.  I thought of different instances in the Scriptures where someone did just that.  They loved someone through some difficult situation.  Most of what I found was Jesus loving others through their lapses in faith.  I am thankful to find these because this gives me hope.  We all know John 15:13, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

I first thought of Adam and Eve.  Even though they fell God still loved them.  He provided them with skins to cover their nakedness by shedding blood in the killing of some innocent animal.  He loved them enough to be consistent.  God; in love, removed them from the garden.  This was one of many consequences of their sin.  Yet, God still loved them supremely.  It was like He was trying to tell them, “I’m Gonna Love You Through It”.

Maybe there is some situation in your life that leads you to believe that you are not loveable.  Maybe there is some deed that you have done that makes you believe that you are so unloveable that you cannot be saved.  Let me tell you there is no such thing.  If you will put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation there is nothing so bad that He cannot love you and save you.

So, how are you doing?
