The Key

I was watching a show the other night where the young Amber Nelon Thompson (granddaughter of the late Rex Nelon) was being interviewed between her songs.  She told of the night she trusted Christ as her Saviour.  She tells of how she struggled with pride in thinking that everyone would think she was already saved; but, she finally gave in to the Holy Spirit and walked forward and trusted Jesus Christ as her Saviour.  She tells that her Youth Pastor told her that she could be the key to unlock other people.  She said that when she got up from praying that there were about twelve (12) other teens at the altar receiving Jesus Christ as their Saviour too.  How awesome.  The phrase her Youth Pastor spoke to her has stuck with me.  “You could be the key to unlock other people.”  Wow!

Then I began to think about Acts 8:34-35, “And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?  Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.”  The sad part of this passage of Scripture is that some who say they love and believe the Bible will tell you that part of Acts 8 was added later which changes the meaning to support salvation through baptism.  Wrong!  God preserved His Word just the way He wants it and we need to keep our dirty hands off of it in such a manner.  We can preach It, read It and head It; but, we must quit trying to rewrite the precious Word of God.

Okay, let’s get personal now.  What decision have you been postponing because you don’t want others to think negatively about you?  Do you need to be saved?  Whatever it is you need to deal with it immediately!  Especially, if you need to trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour please write to me and let me help you make the greatest decision you could ever make.

So, how are you doing?
