The Bridge to Monday 6

Today will be our last installment of our series on “The Bridge to Monday”.  Today we will look at the single most important bridge of them all.

Look at Matthew 27:40, “And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.”  The most important  one is the bridge that allows us to know that we are genuinely born again.  The cross is our bridge to Monday.  If it were not for the cross then life would be futile.  We would just live our lives and die like a dog.  I am sorry to break the bad news to my readers who love dogs; but, unlike the movie dogs do not go to Heaven.

As I think about Monday morning and what I have to face I sometimes look at the cross and what Jesus faced.  When I come to my conclusion it is crystal clear.  If Jesus can endure the cross for me then I am endure life here for Him.  I mean really, isn’t that what it comes to.  We have all said, “I am not going to work because I don’t want to and I don’t have to.”  What about everyone else there?  You put a burden on them by not being there.  I now emergencies come up and that is excusable.  Jesus has called us to be a testimony for Him and we need to crucify the flesh and just go on for Him.

So, how are you doing?
