Friday evening I had the privilege of attending a cottage prayer meeting at a local Church not too far from home. I really enjoy these kind of meetings. No, it does not have to do with the menu either just so you know.
The ladies stay in the fellowship hall and pray as this keeps them close to the kitchen and it ensures there is food fit to eat for the meal afterwards. As I was kneeling at the altar I listened and heard the Pastor of this Church calling my name and the name of my wife and our son. Well, you know what happened next. Tears began to flow like rivers. Then, I began to hear another Pastor friend who was there also begin calling our names in prayer too. I could hardly contain myself and truthfully maybe I should have not kept it in.
What a peace swept over my at that moment. Wow! It was like my Father put His arms around me and whispered to me that everything was going to be alright. It would not be pleasant; but, alright. In other words we would make it through these dark days. Thank You my Father!
When you are prompted to pray for someone I hope you do it right then. You never know what their need is at that moment and you could be the avenue that God uses to speak a prayer that gets answered. Glory to His name!
So, how are you doing?
