Others Focused

The other day as  I was reading my daily devotions I came across the following verse.  Look at Matthew 14:19, “And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.”

The Dead Sea is a good illustration for Christians today it seems.  The Dead Sea is dead because it is constantly taking in; but, it does not give out.  It is filling with salt; but, has no outlet.  The verse in Matthew 14:19 shows how it is supposed to work.  Jesus breaks the loaves and fishes.  He then gives them to the disciples.  The disciples are to distribute to the multitudes.

God is speaking to you and I today and feeding us spiritually so that we can take what we have been given and share it with others.  God is ministering in a broad sense to the multitudes; but, He is ministering up close and personal with the disciples.  He is equipping them to minister to the multitudes.

God is preparing us all for some type of ministry.  It is up to you and I to search out what our area of ministry is.

So, how are you doing?
